URGENT!

SWEET MAVERICK NEEDS AN ANGEL: HE IS FACING EUTHANASIA!

Maverick is a 4 year old Great Dane who loves life (as you can see in his videos!). He is a loving, playful, goofy guy who enjoys running and being silly. He is a gentle soul who likes to sleep with his person, hang out on the couch together, and follow them around just to be close. Maverick is full of energy! He listens well and becomes attached to female humans.

Maverick suffered abuse early on in his life and is more cautious of men because of this. He also has anxiety with thunderstorms, fireworks, and loud noises. He does not take medication for this as he seems to work through it on his own.

His situation has become desperate because of ONE ISOLATED incident: Maverick was home alone in his crate when a thunderstorm started. By the time his dad got home to let him out, he was frantic! Dad tried to console him and Maverick quickly bit him, one time, no medical treatment was required. Because of this reactive incident the family is looking to rehome him or he will be facing euthanasia. There is no judgement for the family's decision, we only want to help Maverick find the right forever family, as do they.

Maverick's time is LIMITED! The family has given us a short time to help vet potential adopters in the hopes of saving his life. Maverick is only 4 years old! Maverick is neutered and has had gastropexy surgery to prevent future stomach issues. He is crate trained and will be up to date on vaccines before adoption.

Maverick is located in Rochester, NY but can travel for the right family.
