From Current Family: Byrd is an incredibly sweet, calm (considering he's a GSP), and affectionate 3.5 year-old-boy. While he enjoys being active outdoors, he's just as happy curling up next to you. He's a total snuggle bug with a gentle, easygoing temperament. Byrd has deep, soulful eyes that captivate you and make you curious of the story he has to tell.



A few things about Byrd:

-Great with kids, babies, and other dogs (not cat tested but happy to cat test with families considering adoption)

-Crate trained and house trained

-Sleeps through the night

-Well-trained with excellent recall both with and without a recall collar

-Loves being outside (and scouting the birds), but also settles beautifully at home

-Has completed two professional training courses and is a star student

-Clean bill of health, up to date on all vaccines; on regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medication



Byrd would do best in a home that can give him:

-Space to explore (large yard with access to outdoors)

-An active lifestyle balanced with lots of love and companionship

-A family with some daytime flexibility so he can enjoy time outdoors doing what he loves most.
