Carl is a 1-year-old, ~70 lb mixed-breed with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be near his people—whether that’s heading out for a walk, exploring the world, or just hanging out by your side. Our volunteers are chatting about how quick and eager he is to learn!

He’s got a nice medium energy level: happy to get out and do things, but able to settle once he’s had some exercise. At this age, Carl is still learning, and he’ll do best with someone who can give him structure, consistency, and a little guidance as he continues to grow into himself.

Carl is a strong, smart dog who will really shine with the right person—someone who appreciates a loyal companion and is willing to invest a little time in helping him succeed.
