Rosie is a smart, spirited Shepherd mix with a playful streak and a heart that shines once she feels comfortable.
-5-year-old spayed female
-German Shepherd mix with a classic brown-and-black coat
-65 lbs, athletic, strong, and full of personality
-Arrived at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/25/26 due to owner surrender because of a move
-Friendly and easy to handle with people she trusts
-Treat motivated and eager to learn
-Knows “sit” and responds well to guidance
-Medium energy level with a fun, “puppyish” enthusiasm
-Can be jumpy and excitable when happy or stimulated
-Walks fairly well on leash and enjoys being active
-Curious and observant in new environments
-Selective with other dogs and prefers playful female dogs who match her energy
-May need slow introductions and continued socialization with canine companions
-Loves affection from handlers and enjoys being included in the action
-Would thrive with structure, consistency, and an adopter who understands shepherd-type dogs
