Koa can be very shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time, patience, and love, and after about a week she’ll become your absolute best friend. One of the sweetest moments with Koa is when she gently gives you her paw — that’s her way of letting you know you’ve officially made it into her heart.

Koa is dog friendly with medium and large dogs and enjoys having canine companions around her size to play and relax with. However, she does have a prey drive, so she would do best in a home without cats or smaller dogs.

This well-mannered girl is the total package. She is fully potty trained, kennel trained, fantastic in the car, and has wonderful leash manners with impressive recall. Koa already knows commands like “sit” and “paw,” and she is highly intelligent and eager to please, making her an absolute joy to work with and live with.

Koa loves adventures just as much as she loves relaxing with her people. She enjoys hikes, walks, playing fetch, and carrying around her stuffed toys. After a fun-filled day, she’s happiest curled up at the foot of the bed, cuddling close to her favorite person. She’s also known for giving the sweetest forehead hugs, which perfectly match her loving and affectionate personality.

While Koa is incredibly gentle and loving, she’s also naturally protective and very aware of her surroundings. If she senses something isn’t right, she will always stay close and look out for her people.
