Sequoia is a 1-year-old German Shepherd with a strong spirit and a gentle, loving heart. She’s a smart, loyal girl who enjoys being close to her people and thrives on connection, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for both devotion and companionship.

Sequoia is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment she can live a happy and healthy life. With a committed adopter and guidance from a veterinarian, heartworm disease is treatable, and she has every chance to go on to live a happy, healthy life. During treatment, she’ll need a calm environment and limited activity to help her heal.

She would do best with a family who can provide structure, patience, and lots of love as she continues her journey. If you’re willing to give a little extra care, Sequoia will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a bond that’s truly special.

Sequoia's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!
