At 3 years old and 75 lbs, Fowler has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. Those who have followed his journey have seen the incredible transformation he’s made in just the last month. After undergoing bilateral entropion surgery, battling an infection, and starting the long process of regrowing his hair, Fowler is finally ready to find the forever home he deserves. While he will still need continued baths and care as his coat continues to improve, he handles it all like an absolute champ.
The amazing thing about Fowler is that despite everything he’s been through, he has never stopped being happy, loving, and full of life. As he’s started feeling better, his personality has blossomed even more. He absolutely adores other dogs, and is good with kids. He is very interested in cats, and will chase them if they run- so a cat free home may be best. He truly brings joy everywhere he goes. His favorite things in the world are the hose and splashing around in the kiddie pool at his foster home. He loves chest rubs, and will melt right into them. Fowler will need a fenced in yard.
Fowler is a true young shepherd at heart — energetic, playful, intelligent, and always ready for adventure. He would thrive in an active home that can continue helping him grow into the incredible dog he’s becoming. This beautiful boy has already come so far, and now he’s ready for the next chapter: a forever family to love him for the rest of his life.
