Chaos came to us back in March from a southern shelter. He was promptly dumped there by his owner since a puppy after he herniated a disc in his back. He was on strict kennel rest and meds, shaved some weight off, and has been doing so much better! He has full mobility and no issues with incontinence. He saw our vet today and she feels he’s a suitable candidate for adoption! We thought we had a home lined up, but they adopted another dog before he was ready.

Chaos still has a little bit of a “wonky” gait but it’s hard to tell if that has any relation to his injury, gaining strength back, or if he’s just an awkward Frenchie. These guys aren’t known to have the best conformation.

Moving forward he needs an owner who will be dedicated to keeping him at a good weight to prevent further injury and being mindful that he doesn’t over exert himself. He’s pretty chill despite his name so this won’t be difficult! He does best on a chicken free food (Pro Plan Sensitive Skin/Stomach Salmon) and should stay on that in a new home. He is *technically* dog friendly but rude in his initial greeting for approximately 5 seconds, and then settles. He’ll do best with other calm dogs who won’t be offended by this and aren’t interested in rough housing or wrestling if any.
