Can we talk about how cute little #Jerry is in this picture that a volunteer snapped as he was strolling down the sidewalk
This sweet little face turns heads every single time he comes rolling by in his little purple stroller. Jerry is currently in foster care with one of our volunteers, but he often visits the shelter and proudly cruises around like he owns the place.
And honestly… he kind of does.
But behind the adorable picture and the silly little toddler tantrums is a dog who will need lifelong care and commitment.

Jerry is about 6-7 years old and has special needs due to IVDD. He does not have full mobility in his back legs, but don’t let that fool you. This boy MOVES. He crawls around incredibly fast, plays with his toys, demands cuddles, throws dramatic little fits when he’s excited, and fully believes the world revolves around him. Just like any other dog… he simply gets around a little differently.
He wears diapers, is still on a feeding schedule 5 times a day, and eats Science Diet Biome food. He loves squeaky toys, stuffies, car rides, and being close to his people. Cats have been okay with him, but he does not appreciate other dogs stealing his prized squeaky toys.

Jerry would do best with someone who has breed experience or medical-needs knowledge. He will come with his stroller, wheelchair, and playpen. He weighs about 18-20 pounds and will not be neutered due to his hip issues.
We want to make something very clear… Jerry is not a toy or an accessory because he rides in a stroller. He is a dog. A very loved dog. And he deserves a family willing to love and care for him for the rest of his life.
We are going to be very picky about where Jerry goes because he means so much to us.
We know the right person is out there for him.
