Meet Gladys!
Gladys is a female, Bulldog born December 2020. Gladys made her way to B&B after her current owner decided that they wanted more freedom in their life. She is a ridiculous, fantastic, hilarious, meatball on 4 legs. She is house broken and crate trained! She has undergone professional training and comes with training support for life as well as an E-Collar.
Gladys has not had a lot of stability in her short time (she is only 5 years old), between being bounced around and left in a garage for weeks at a time, nor was she provided with much veterinary care. She came to us a bit overweight and with eye and skin issues. Gladys has had several breed related surgeries including entropion repair, soft pallete repair, nare resecection and tracheal stenosis revision. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She takes apoquel and needs daily eye drops. After months of good nutrition, regular baths and routine medical care, she is looking dressed to impress.
Gladys is an opinionated little beast. She doesn’t like being told no or being asked to do things quickly. She responds very well to correction with the e-collar and as long as that training is maintained, she listens very well. Gladys is the definition of a BULL dog. She is OBSESSED with the jolly ball, loves to chase, run and play.
She likes other dogs, but can be a little pushy with play and just wants to get all the belly rubs. She snores like a chainsaw and moves like a blowing ball. She is looking for her next permanent move with someone that can treat her like the princess she is! She needs someone who has bull dog or comparable breed experience and is ready to love herm, quirks and all.
She is cuddly, sweet, loves to go on walks (short ones) and loves to sleep and snore all day. Gladys has not been cat tested and we recommend a home without young children.
Gladys is being fostered in Apex, NC and is up to date on core vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed, and on monthly preventatives! We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of her care while in foster. To apply to adopt Gladys, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.
Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.
Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
