Start your Morning with Positivity & Gratitude -Like Java!
Java is living a fresh start after getting much needed medical care. Just 29 lbs at intake - she is now 55 lbs and has a healthy shiny black coat. Java has a docked tail and natural perky ears.
Guessed to be just under 2 years old, she has a playful personality. Java is living up to her name and is an energetic and enthusiastic Doberman. She is fostered with other Dobermans and can be insecure with new dogs so she has been paired up with confident females in play group to help build her social skills appropriately. The mama dogs have given her gentle corrections and the other younger dogs play with her.
Java is crate trained, house trained (barks when she needs to go potty outside) and calm on car rides. She has started some basic training in her foster home but nervous on a leashed walk. She would love a home with another dog. She has not been cat tested.

Java is now microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm treated and on prevention.
FOSTERED IN TEXAS.

History: Java was severely underweight and sick, her owners brought her to BARC -City of Houston's Animal Shelter for 'euthanasia request.' She is just 18 months old and her owners could not afford or did not want to pay for the medical care the puppy required. BARC labeled her RESCUE only due to illness and requested an immediate pull from the shelter. Rescue changed her name to Java to give her a fresh start from a prior life of neglect.
