Dachshund Dogs Available for Adoption in San Antonio, Texas

Apollo is a big, sweet 2-year-old standard dachshund, weighing at about 25 pounds! He is a sweet, friendly guy that loves meeting new people and dogs.

Some of his favorite things include cuddling, giving kisses, sitting for treats, and playing with his doggie friends or his favorite toys! He is not quite potty trained yet, but we're working on it! He does not enjoy being in the kennel but does eventually relax in one.

He knows a few commands, such as sit, wait, or stay. He does respond well when a stern No is given. He is great with dogs and new people but may not do well with cats. Though, he would thrive in most homes, his ideal home would include:

-large,active family with/without children (older/considerate kids)

-often home or works from home

- large yard or could go on walks

-friendly and playful dog friends

-a family that will give him structure and patience

-and lots of love to give!
