Saffie is an 11lb Doxie mix with a soft reddish coat and a thoughtful, people-oriented personality. She has many classic Dachshund traits: loyal, observant, a little cautious at first, and deeply devoted once she feels safe.

She adores her foster dad and greets visitors both humans and dogs with mild hesitation that fades within a few minutes. Once she warms up, she's affectionate, curious, and happy to be part of the activity around her.

Saffie enjoys walks and pulls a little on leash, but not in a way thats difficult to manage. With gentle guidance, she settles into a nice rhythm. Shes untested with cats and young children but should do well with respectful older kids.

She is a dominant, rough and tumble player and would do best with a dog companion who can either match her style or confidently set boundaries. She loves to play and thrives with dogs who enjoy that same energy.

About Our Rescue & Transport
Most of our dogs come from Eastern WA, where vet care is more affordable. Many are adopted before reaching their foster homes in Pierce, King, or Snohomish Counties. We are fully volunteer run and meet approved adopters halfway or at a mutually convenient location.

Meeting Locations
Western WA adopters: Wenatchee, Ellensburg or Leavenworth
Eastern WA adopters: Spokane area, Reardan, or Omak

If travel is difficult, we can try to arrange a volunteer handoff.
