Meet Henry!

Henry is a handsome 34 year old Cocker Spaniel weighing approximately 15 pounds. With his soulful eyes and gentle personality, this sweet boy is ready to find a patient family who will help him continue building confidence and discovering how wonderful life can be.

Henry came to rescue through a breeder release, so the world is still a relatively new place to him. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people and experiencing new environments, but with a little time and patience, his true personality begins to shine. Once he feels comfortable, Henry becomes incredibly affectionate and forms strong bonds with his people. You can tell he wants so badly to love and be loved.

One thing that makes Henry feel especially comfortable is the company of other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with his canine friends and takes a lot of confidence from them. Hes also done well with cats. Whether he joins a home with another friendly dog or becomes the center of attention himself, hell thrive with a family willing to move at his pace and help him feel secure.

Henry sleeps quietly in his crate at night and has been doing well with his potty habits, primarily going outside. As he settles into a new home, his adopters should expect a brief adjustment period while he learns a new routine and gains confidence.

Because Henry can be sensitive and shy at first, a calmer home with older, respectful children or adults would be the best fit. Hes not looking for a fast-paced lifestylejust a family that understands that trust takes time and that the reward is a deeply loyal companion.
