Cocker Spaniel Dogs Available for Adoption in Austin, Texas

Adorable & adoptable: Poky. It's always amazing to us how resilent some of these dogs are that have come from a RUFF life. Give them some time with love and care and they just blossom. Poky is a young guy (around 2) but unfortunately, he wasn't given preventions and he tested positive for heartworms (boooo!). But he will be treated at CSRA/SA expense at one of our vets. While we don't know very much about his past, we do know that he's affectionate, silly and eager to bond with his person. He would like to be someone's only baby (no other dogs or small kids please). He promises he can supply you with all the kisses you need. He is crate trained, and house trained. With moderate to high energy, he'll do best with someone who can give him structure, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement to help him keep on growing into his best self.

Becauase of his heartworm status, Poky will need to stay in the Central Texas area for his treatment.
