Meet Chopper! 🐾
This adorable 2-year-old Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix weighs in at 25lbs and is ready to find a forever home of his own. With his floppy ears, sweet face, and loving personality, Chopper is the kind of dog who wins hearts everywhere he goes.
Chopper loves attention and will gently nudge you for pets and affection. He’s friendly, playful, and enjoys exploring the world with his nose by your side. Despite being 25 pounds, Chopper fully believes he’s a lap dog and would happily spend his evenings curled up close to his people.
He does well with kids, is crate trained, and has a calm, quiet nature in the home. Chopper can happily coexist with other dogs when given proper introductions, but he also wouldn’t mind being the center of attention in his forever home.
After spending much of his life outdoors, he’s ready for a fresh start — one filled with cozy naps, adventures, and a family who will love him forever.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal best friend, Chopper might just be your perfect match.
If you are interested in adopting there is an application below: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog
His adoption fee is $400.
Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or straight off the streets in South Texas where there are packs of stray dogs running loose. Your fee covers the significant costs of bringing them to safety. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip.
We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window.
We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue.
We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
