The Pond Princess. Backyard Olympian. Certified Free Spirit.
This girl has completely bloomed. When we first met Mochi, she was one of more than 40 dogs living on a property where dogs came and went and life was anything but predictable. Even then, she was sweet, thoughtful, and incredibly social with other dogs.
Today? She's thriving. Mochi currently lives on twelve acres, and watching her discover the world has been one of our favorite things. If there is water, she is in it. Pool? Swimming. Pond? Swimming. Creek? Swimming. We're fairly certain if somebody left a wheelbarrow full of rainwater unattended, she'd be paddling laps in it by sunset.
And the way she moves is hilarious. She doesn't just run. She hops. She bounces. She launches herself through the grass like a woodland creature that recently discovered happiness and has not stopped celebrating since.
Spend ten minutes watching Mochi outside and you'll find yourself smiling for absolutely no reason. What makes her so special, though, isn't just how much fun she is. It's who she is.
Mochi has this beautiful independent nature that makes her incredibly easy to live with. She's not demanding. She's not clingy. She's perfectly content exploring the world, hanging out with her dog friends, or finding a sunny spot to relax.
But when she loves you? Game over. This girl is loyal to the core. She can be a little shy when meeting new people. Not fearful. Just thoughtful. Mochi likes to make sure you're worth her time before handing over her heart.
Once you've earned it, though, she becomes the sweetest little companion. She follows her people around, gives the best kisses, and has this quiet devotion that feels incredibly genuine. Nothing about Mochi is performative. When she loves you, she means it.
What we love most about Mochi is that all of that free-spirit adventure girl energy completely melts away once she comes inside. Outside, she's exploring, swimming, hopping through the grass, and living her best life.
Inside, she's your little shadow.
She'll quietly follow you from room to room, perfectly content to simply be wherever you are. Making dinner? Mochi's there. Folding laundry? Mochi's supervising. Walking into another room for absolutely no reason? Great news you now have company.
She doesn't need constant entertainment or attention. She genuinely seems to enjoy being part of whatever is happening, even when absolutely nothing is happening. That's just Mochi. She's happy. Not in the over-the-top, bouncing-off-the-walls kind of way. Mochi actually has a wonderfully balanced energy level.
Outside, she'll happily spend the day exploring, swimming, hopping through the grass, and joining you on whatever adventure you've dreamed up.
Inside, she's calm, dignified, and incredibly easy to live with. She isn't constantly looking for something to do. She isn't demanding attention. She isn't the type of dog bouncing off the furniture because she's bored. She's perfectly content simply being part of the family.
There's something very peaceful about her presence. She follows her people around, quietly supervises whatever is happening, settles beautifully, and seems genuinely happy just existing alongside the people she loves.
It's one of our favorite things about her. Mochi knows how to have fun, but she also knows how to relax. She absolutely adores other dogs and reads them better than most humans read a room.
Growing up around so many dogs gave her incredible social skills. She's naturally submissive, respectful, and takes cues from other dogs beautifully. She knows when to join the fun, when to give space, and when it's time to settle down.
Because of that, we'd love to see her in a home with another dog who can continue to share adventures, naps, and daily life with her.
We would especially love to see Mochi with someone who enjoys getting outside. A family with a yard. A lake house. A cabin. A hiking buddy. Somebody who appreciates muddy paws, creek days, and a dog that believes every outdoor adventure is the greatest thing that's ever happened.
Mochi isn't looking for a life of sitting on the sidelines. She's looking for a co-star.
Somebody who will let her chase the next adventure, swim in the next pond, and then come home where she can curl up beside her people and hand out kisses like she's getting paid for it.
She's funny without trying to be. Beautiful without knowing it. And loyal in a way that stays with you. We love this girl to pieces.
Mochi may have started out as one puppy among dozens. Now she's the kind of dog people spend years hoping they'll find.

The Truth About Rescue:
Every rescue pup is a work in progress and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.
Adoption isnt about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know theyre finally home. Thats when youll see them bloom confident, connected, and deeply loved. And somewhere along the way, youll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

Once we have received your application, we will review it and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers. If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com
Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
