Charlie - Chocolate Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle Dog Available for Adoption in Michigan City, Indiana

This is Charlie! He is about three years old, weighs 75 pounds (could lose a few to get to a healthy weight!) and he is neutered. We were told that he is a poodle/lab mix but, as always, we can't guarantee a breed!

Charlie would be thrilled if he was adopted by a family who loves going to the lake! This guy loves water! Lake time is Charlie's favorite kind of time. He's a total beach pup!

His manners are nearly perfect! Charlie knows not to jump, greets new people as though he has known them his whole life, will sit, lay down and shake paws. We're teaching Charlie to take treats gently and he already catching on!

We'd also love his adopter to make sure that he has access to a groomer when his coat needs it! He is quite wonderful at tolerating grooming and shows off his best boy manners.

Charlie is the happiest boy ever. He isn't as interested in toys but he does like chewing bones. Given that he is the happiest boy ever, sometimes he tinkles a little bit when he's over-the-moon to see you. Otherwise, he has legitimately perfect house-training skills.

Respectful kiddos, dog-friendly kitties and equally friendly and playful dogs may all be great fits for Charlie! He loves car rides and loves treats! He's a big, smart, cuddly loverboy and we adore him. Come meet Charlie!
