Meet Herbert... aka Herbie the Love Bug

Herbie came to Castoff straight off the euthanasia list, and we are so glad we were able to scoop this sweet boy up before it was too late. Apparently someone dumped him on a dead end dirt road and just left him. Now he's safe, loved, and working on an important project: filling out the rest of his body to match that big ol' labby head of his.

This handsome fellow is a gorgeous dark chocolate brown and sports the cutest little accessory set... four speckled socks that look like he dipped his paws in a sprinkle jar. Fashion icon status, honestly.

Since arriving, Herbie has been nothing but Mr. Super Chill. He's taking everything in stride, soaking up the good food, comfy beds, and kind humans like he's been waiting his whole life for it.

We're still getting to know all the wonderful things about him, but so far the review from staff and volunteers is unanimous: certified good boy, professional heart-melter.
