Lolli - Chihuahua and Beagle Dog Available for Adoption in Toledo, Ohio

Sweet senior girl Lolli is looking for a soft place to land and a family to spend her golden years with. This adorable 9-year-old Chihuahua/Beagle mix weighs 17.5 pounds (a tad overweight) and has the most loving, gentle soul.

Lolli came to Dogworks after her owner was unexpectedly sent to prison, leaving her in need of a fresh start. Despite the changes in her life, Lolli has remained affectionate, trusting, and full of love to give.

This precious girl is happiest enjoying the simple things in life — morning kisses, being told how beautiful she is, relaxing beside her people, watching the world from a cozy pillow by the door, and taking leisurely car rides through the park. She enjoys short walks, though because of arthritis in her back legs, she may need a little help getting back home after making it around the block.

Lolli does have some age-related medical needs, including arthritis in her back legs, skin sensitivities, and only a few remaining teeth. Currently, she is not on any medications for her skin or arthritis. She’s looking for someone with a gentle heart who will cherish and care for her exactly the way she deserves. In return, she’ll give endless love, loyalty, and companionship.

She is potty trained, leash trained, knows “sit” and “stay,” and has wonderful manners in the home. Her foster reports she has had no accidents, no chewing, and no behavioral problems whatsoever — just a sweet disposition and lots of love to share. Lolli gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being around people. She’s never shown aggression and would much rather snuggle under her blanket during thunderstorms than cause any trouble.

Lolli would do best in a home with a secure fenced yard and someone who understands that senior dogs deserve patience, comfort, and all the love in the world.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
