DESCRIPTION
Meet Spike!
Spike had a rough life before he was rescued. Due to those past circumstances Spike is fearful of new people. It can be hard to tell through all his growling and snarling, but all Spike really wants is to be loved. His 'aggression' is 100% fear, which can be overcome with patience and the right person.
Spike does not like men or boys of any age. However, he does warm up to most women with time. He's also a one person kind of dog. So if you're a single woman with no family or friends and no plans to get any, You might be perfect for Spike!!
Here's what to expect:
Day 1-30ish - Spike will hide from you day and night. When you make eye contact he will growl and snarel. Even when you bring him food and treats
Day 31 - 45 Spike will start growling less and will start coming up to you, poke you in the leg with his nose, then run away. Try not to make eye too much eye contact.
Day 45 - 55 Spike will start to snuggle with you under the covers at HIS leisure. Do not touch YET!!!
Day 55 - 70 Spike will start to take treats from your hand then run away. Eye contact is ok-ish. Little scratches on his head are allowed.
Day 70 - 90 Spike will let you pick him up, but will scream the whole way up. He will start to wag his tail when he sees you and when you come home. A few snuggles above the covers may happen.
Day 90 - if you can hang in through all that, he's yours forever!!! At this point he will be running to you for hugs and kisses
If you're up for this 90 day plan for unconditional love and companionship, apply for Spike today.
BONUS: Spike likes other dogs. And once you get through your 90 day Spike boot camp, he's a pretty easygoing dog. Spike will spend most of his time take naps and snuggling in your lap.
ABOUT: CHIHUAHUA DOG BREED
The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
