Meet our newest foster, Snowball. This is an adorable Chihuahua mix who is super sweet and is ready for adoption.

Snowball was surrendered to the Graham Texas Animal Shelter due to his previous owner having more dogs than they could manage. Mazie’s Mission partnered with the Graham Animal Shelter to pull a few of these Chihuahuas from the shelter, completed their vet work, and then placed them in safe foster homes. Snowball is one of the dogs surrendered that day. Snowball has completed his vet work and is now ready to be adopted into a forever home where he can thrive and live his best life! Mazie’s Mission is happy to help Snowball on his journey.

Snowball gets along great with the other small dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playing with them and will initiate play time. Snowball loves to run zoomies in the yard. He is an active guy who loves to explore. He is always checking out new areas of the house to see if there is anything interesting he should know about. Snowball doesn’t show much interest in toys. Snowball does get along with the foster cat!

Snowball is a bit shy when he meets new people. But once he gets to know you, he becomes your best friend. Snowball loves his foster family. He gets so excited when they come home from work that he meets them at the front door and performs his best trick – bouncing up and down with excitement like he is on a pogo stick. He gives you that “welcome home, I missed you” shout out and your heart will soar. Snowball seeks affection from his family. He loves to climb up on your lap for snuggles. And he will reach out with his paw and ask you to pet him. Oh what a sweet guy! If you are interested in a lap dog, Snowball wants to volunteer for the job!

Our vet thinks Snowball is about 6 1/2 years old. He weighs 13 pounds and is fully grown. Snowball has a beautiful white / cream colored coat (thus his name, Snowball!). We love his ears. His foster Mom says he is super sweet and he knows it! His personality shines and we adore him.

Snowball is smart. Snowball has done well with his potty habits when kept on a schedule. He has learned to use the doggy door (we do supervise for safety). At night, he enjoys sleeping in the bed with his family. Snowball is afraid of a harness and a leash, so it is best if he could live in a home with a secure fenced in backyard.

The perfect home for Snowball would be one with moderate energy and a lot of love. Snowball enjoys other dogs and would love to have another young dog (1 – 5 years) to grow up with. He really needs a dog companion to help build his confidence and help him feel comfortable. Applications will not be considered where he will be the only dog. Snowball does need a family who can check on him every 4-6 hours (would not be a good fit for a family that works away from home 10-12 hours a day). There are no children in his foster home but we think he would do well with older, mature children (10 and older).
