Tortilla is a tiny 8-pound Chihuahua with enormous eyes and the emotional energy of someone cautiously peeking through the curtains to see if the world is behaving itself today. Estimated to be around 4 years old, she has perfected the art of quiet observation. She sees everything. Hears everything. Judges most of it silently.
Life hasn’t exactly wrapped Tortilla in warmth and security up to this point, so she prefers to approach new people and experiences with a healthy amount of skepticism. Frankly, she considers this wisdom. While other dogs are out there making impulsive emotional investments, Tortilla likes to review the terms and conditions first.
But underneath all that caution is a little dog who truly wants connection. She longs to be included, to feel safe, and to belong somewhere—it just has to happen on Tortilla time. You don’t rush a delicate tortilla, after all. Push too hard and things crack. Handle gently, though, and suddenly you’ve got something warm, comforting, and impossible to imagine life without.
Her sweetest moments are often the quiet ones. Choosing to stay close instead of walking away. Watching you softly from across the room. Slowly relaxing enough to let curiosity win over fear. Tortilla isn’t flashy about affection, but that’s what makes it feel so meaningful when she offers it.
Her ideal family will understand that trust is not a race and companionship doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it arrives in tiny steps, soft eyes, and the brave little decision to try again.
And because every tiny queen deserves proper care, Tortilla is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and negative for heartworm and tick disease on her 4DX test.
If you have patience, kindness, and a soft spot for shy dogs with enormous hearts hidden inside tiny bodies, Tortilla is ready to cautiously become part of your world—one gentle step at a time.
