Meet Yogi!
Yogi is an 11 year old long-haired Chihuahua weighing just 45 pounds. This tiny senior gentleman may be small in size, but he has a huge heart waiting to give to the right person.
Yogi can be very shy and fearful when meeting new people. He needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Because he can be nervous and overwhelmed in new situations, a calm home without young children would be ideal. An older individual or couple looking for a quiet companion would be a wonderful match for him.
Once Yogi feels safe, his personality completely transforms. He becomes incredibly affectionate and devoted to his person. He loves being held, cuddled, and showered with attention. In fact, once he bonds with you, hell happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be nearby. He truly becomes a little shadow who just wants to love and be loved.
Yogi gets along well with both dogs and cats and peacefully coexists with the other animals in his foster home. Hes crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night, although if given the choice, hed much rather be curled up beside his favorite person.
Because of his age and the adjustment that comes with moving to a new home, Yogi sometimes wears a belly band indoors while settling into a routine. With patience, consistency, and understanding, he continues to do very well.
This sweet senior boy isnt looking for a busy household or grand adventures. Hes looking for something much simplera soft bed, a gentle hand, and someone who will give him the time he needs to feel safe. In return, youll gain one of the most loyal and loving companions imaginable.
Yogi is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption.
