DESCRIPTION
Mama Bear is estimated to be between 2-5 years old and is truly one of a kind. Her DNA test came back with 7+ breeds mixed in, with Chihuahua being the most prominent - but honestly, she mostly just looks like a tiny bear with her gorgeous brown coat and soulful eyes. At just under 20 pounds, she's the perfect compact companion size.
Mama Bear is a very low-key, easygoing girl. She loves leisurely walks, car rides, lounging on the sofa, and quietly following her humans from room to room. She's not much of a toy dog - her favorite thing is simply being near her people. She also does well being left home alone and gets along with cats.
She is potty trained, though she does occasionally mark indoors. It's rare, and she tolerates wearing a diaper well if needed. Mama Bear is up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives and is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. The rescue will continue covering treatment cost.
After everything she's been through, Mama Bear deserves a calm, loving home where she can finally relax and be someone's little shadow.
ADOPTION PROCESS
1. Review our adoption contract and application.
2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.
3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below:
It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 3 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed.
