Meet Patches — a tiny survivor with a huge heart



Patches is a one-year-old Chihuahua with quite the story to tell. While stopping for gas in El Paso, a rescuer suddenly had this little guy jump right into her car as if he already knew she was his ticket to a better life.



Thankfully, Patches had a microchip, and his owner was located. But sadly, when contacted, she said she no longer wanted him and officially surrendered him.



Now, this sweet little boy is getting the fresh start he deserves.



Patches will be arriving in Colorado on Tuesday and is ready to leave his past behind for a future full of love, soft blankets, warm laps, and people who will never give up on him again. Despite everything, he's still friendly, trusting, and eager for affection.



And the best part? Patches loves everyone. Humans, kids, other dogs, and even other animals — if it's living, Patches wants to be friends with it. He's the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes and would fit beautifully into almost any home.



Patches will be neutered prior to adoption and will be ready to start his new life with a family who will love him forever.



He may be small, but Patches has a huge personality and an even bigger capacity to love. We can't wait for him to finally experience what it feels like to truly be someone's cherished companion.
