Meet Jax – A Heart Learning How to Trust Again

Jax is a 1–2 year old boy who has already been through more than most dogs ever should.

He came from the Devore Shelter, a place where so many dogs are overlooked — and before that, he was a casualty of a broken home... a Devore survivor. Somewhere along the way, his whole world changed, and Jax was left trying to understand where his people went.

But even after all of that...
he still chooses love.

Jax is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped, and now he's ready for something he's never truly had — stability, safety, and a forever family.

This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate in the most unique way. When you come home, he'll gently nibble and kiss your face, like he just needs to make sure you're really there and not leaving again. It's not mischief... it's love, mixed with a little “I missed you so much.”

He's playful, silly, and full of life:
Loves to stand up on his back legs to be close to you
Enjoys playing and chewing on his toys
Wants nothing more than to be near his person

And the most beautiful part?
He's learning to be brave again.

Jax is slowly coming out of his shell, and today he did something huge — he walked up to new people on his own and let them pet him. For a dog who has every reason to be unsure, that moment meant everything.

He also rides wonderfully in the car, making him an easy companion for wherever life takes you.
