DESCRIPTION
Meet Wendell! Wendell was tragically found hit by a car, and a good samaritan called Rocket Dog for help. We got him into the vet and after recovering in a foster home, he is ready to find forever!
This 60 lb cattle dog is pretty typical for his breed. He is somewhat aloof at first, but quickly shows his goofy, energetic, mischievous side. We think Wendell would do best in a home with breed experience. He can be somewhat nervous and skittish, and we think his ideal home would have a dog companion to help ground him and make him feel more comfortable.

ABOUT: CATTLE DOG DOG BREED
The Cattle Dog is a diligent and robust herding breed known for its agility, intelligence, and hardworking nature. Originating in Australia, Cattle Dogs are highly energetic and require ample exercise and mental stimulation. With their remarkable problem solving skills and unwavering loyalty, they excel in various canine activities and make excellent companions for active owners. Their distinctive blue or red coat, sturdy build, and alert expression reflect their heritage as versatile working dogs.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
