Meadow - Cattle Dog and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fresno, California

Meet Meadow, a 30 lb female Australian Cattle Dog who is not yet spayed. This adorable red and white girl is just under a year old and ready to find her forever family.

Meadow came to us as a stray on May 26, 2026, after being found roaming near a property with another dog. The finder shared that Meadow was friendly with people and other dogs, and staff quickly fell for her gentle nature, too. From the moment she arrived, Meadow was easy to handle, walked nicely on leash with a little encouragement, and showed just how sweet and cooperative she can be.

While new situations can make her a little unsure at first, Meadow's confidence grows quickly when she knows she's safe. She was hesitant around doorways during intake and needed a little reassurance, but once she realized she had a friend by her side, she was ready to move forward. During a recent playgroup, Meadow started off quietly, allowing the other dogs to greet her at her own pace. Before long, she was offering playful bows and making friends, especially with a dog named Ranger.

Like many young Cattle Dogs, Meadow is smart, curious, and eager to learn. She's looking for a family who will help her continue building confidence while giving her plenty of opportunities for adventure, play, and companionship. With her sweet personality and gentle heart, Meadow is ready to blossom into an incredible best friend.
