River is a 6-month-old pup who we believe may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, and he is just beginning his journey with us. As we learn more about him, we will continue to update his profile with additional details about his personality and needs.

River is very much a puppy--full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around him. He will thrive in an active home that can provide consistent training, routine, and positive outlets for his energy to help him grow into his best self.

Because he is new to us, River will require further evaluation with other dogs and cats to better understand how he may do in a home with other animals.

Based on his suspected breed, Catahoula-type dogs are known for their intelligence, independence, and need for both mental and physical stimulation. They tend to do best in homes that can offer ongoing training, enrichment, and a sense of purpose.

River is a young dog with lots of potential, ready for a home that will help guide him as he grows.
