Meet Lola!
A Gentle, Loving Girl Ready for Her Chance at a Forever Home
Age: 2.5 years old
Sex: Female (Spayed)
Breed: Cane Corso
Foster Location: Rockton, ON
Personality & Story:
Lola is a beautiful young girl who is looking for a very special foster-to-adopt home. She was rescued from a breeding situation and was the most traumatized of the dogs that came into care. Because of this, the world can still feel overwhelming for her at times.
Despite her difficult start, Lola has already made incredible progress with time, patience, and gentle support. She is learning that people can be safe and kind, and she continues to grow in confidence at her own pace.
Training & Daily Life:
- Still building confidence in new environments
- Needs calm structure and routine
- Thrives with consistency and gentle handling
- Learning that the world is safe through positive experiences
Dogs: Best recommended to be the only dog in the home
Children: No, must be in an adult-only home
Ideal Home:
Lola is looking for experienced XL-breed handlers who understand trauma recovery is a slow, steady process. She needs a calm, patient, and quiet home willing to move at her pace and celebrate small wins along the way.
A foster-to-adopt home is preferred so she can continue to build trust and confidence while transitioning into a permanent placement.
Lola isn't looking for perfection she's looking for understanding. With the right people, she will continue to blossom and learn what it truly means to feel safe, loved, and at home.
