Venice is a 6-pound Brussels griffon mix with the face of a tiny old man, the energy of a caffeinated squirrel, and the emotional confidence of someone who survived a lot and decided to become even funnier afterward. At around 14 weeks old, this scruffy little potato puppy has officially entered his “thriving menace” era.
Venice came into rescue alongside his siblings Malibu, Bel Air, and Hollywood after the group became sick with parvo. Losing Hollywood was heartbreaking, but Venice fought hard through it all and has come out the other side determined to make every single day everybody else’s problem—in the most adorable way possible.
This tiny guy approaches life with full tourist energy. Every room is a new destination. Every toy is an attraction. Every human exists solely to admire him and possibly carry him around like the fragile little goblin prince he believes himself to be. He’s playful, curious, and absolutely convinced that personal space is just a suggestion.
Like all puppies, Venice is still learning important life skills, such as “maybe don’t chew that,” “the floor is not a bathroom,” and “your tiny teeth are not actually required in every situation.” But he’s got the kind of goofy charm that makes you forgive him almost immediately, even while actively removing him from trouble for the fifth time in an hour.
And truly, the hair alone deserves its own paragraph. Venice looks like he lost a fight with a leaf blower and somehow came out more handsome because of it. His permanently scruffy expression gives him the appearance of a distinguished professor who accidentally got turned into a tiny dog by a witch with questionable aim.
Venice is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and negative for heartworm and tick disease on his 4DX test. He’s healthy, resilient, and fully committed to living his second chance with maximum enthusiasm and minimal impulse control.
If your life feels a little too peaceful and your couch could use one tiny scruffy creature flinging himself dramatically across it, Venice is ready to paddle his way straight into your heart.
