Please meet Hank! This hunky pup is just 8 months old, weighs in around 70 pounds, is current on his vaccines, and will be neutered soon. Hank is being fostered at our Rescue & Intake Center in Stanwood, WA.
Hank is a goofy boy and a gentle giant; he can get excited when he first meets new people, and might jump up to give a hug, but he listens well to the commands “off” or “no”.
Hank had a fur-brother in his previous home, so because he loves other dogs, he will definitely need a canine sibling in his forever home to buddy around with. He is also cat friendly and even had a feline best friend who he loved to snuggle with.
Hank is just now learning about wearing a collar and how to walk on leash and he’s doing pretty good so far. He does pull a bit so a harness would come in handy for reassurance until he's confident in his handler. Hank is a strong boy and will need an equally strong handler. Currently, his foster mom is working with Hank on manners and he's slowly but surely getting the hang of things.
Hank isn’t too sure about being in a crate, but his foster mom will continue to work on that with him. For now, at bedtime he has quickly learned that his spot is on a dog bed on the floor (not on his foster mom’s bed as he originally requested).
This hunky guy would hang outside all day if you let him! He loves to run and play and has no problem at all keeping himself busy with toys while indoors.
Hank loves getting pets and enjoys a good tummy rub. He is great with children 7 years and older. Due to his size, he may not be a good fit in a home where there are very young kids.
Overall, Hank is a sweet, goofy boy and will be a wonderful addition to an active family. If you think he’d be a good fit for you, please fill out an application today – www.mustluvboxersrescue.com/adopt.
