OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Backstory:
Meet Rocky Road! Rocky Road’s story hasn’t been the easiest, but he hasn’t let that dull his spirit. After being left behind by his previous owners when they moved, Rocky Road was later found wandering near Archer Park and Double Kwik, limping along the roadside. Thankfully, kind people stepped in to get him to safety, and he made his way to us the very next day.

Rocky Road previously lived in a home with a cat, so he has experience sharing his space. He does have an old paw injury that was never properly treated, which causes him to walk with a slight limp. Our vets have evaluated him and aren’t concerned—he gets around just fine! The only thing to keep in mind is the possibility of arthritis as he gets older.

Despite everything he’s been through, Rocky Road is a resilient, loving boy who’s ready for a second chance. He’s looking for a family who will see past his past and give him the safe, comfortable life he’s always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a strong heart and a gentle soul, Rocky Road is your guy.
