Meet Barney. He is a gentle, pleasing spirit. He loves to be told he is a “good boy”, soaking up all the encouragement he can get. He will lay down for belly rubs anytime!

Past his puppy stage, he is easy going and calm. Rarely has much to say, just watches the world go by. He wants to find his person to watch, follow, and be loyal. Very obedient, knows basic commands- sit, stay, down, shake. Working on walking on a leash. Treat motivated, loves to eat.

He has initial excitement when meeting new people, but does not jump or bark. He plays well with other dogs and children. Does not chew other than his own toys- loves tennis balls and chew bones. Has a good balance of being active and lounging around.

Barney is well adjusted and ready to find his forever family, you will fall in love with his sweet face!

Areas to note??

-Has some anxiety about getting out of the car and going outside at night. Needs gentle reassurance that he is not being left.

-Prey driven toward goats and our tortoise. Probably not the best fit for a farm dog.

- Is not dominant toward our big dogs, takes corrections well from other dogs and people.

- Will lick front legs when anxious or bored, but easily distracted by toys.
