Meet Lavana!

Yes, Lavana is one of the Freed Thirteen, and she is every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

This gorgeous girl is a striking blend of chestnut red brindle and black, with soulful eyes that seem to tell a story all their own. At just 5 years old and 55 pounds, Lavana is entering a new chapter in her lifeone filled with hope, love, and the promise of a brighter future.

Like many of the Freed Thirteen, Lavana's past was spent producing litters. While we don't know exactly how many puppies she brought into the world, we can tell she has had more than one litter. Now it's finally her turn to be cared for, cherished, and loved.

Despite everything she has been through, Lavana is a happy, playful girl who greets life with a wagging tail and a joyful spirit. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a male canine companion. Having spent her entire life surrounded by other animals, we truly believe a dog friend will help her continue to thrive as she learns what it means to be part of a family.
At this time, we're unsure whether Lavana will need dental work or if her teeth are simply worn from years of use. Once she settles into a foster or adoptive home, we will have her fully evaluated and make sure she receives any care she may need.

What Lavana needs most right now is a soft bed, a patient heart, and a family willing to show her that her best days are still ahead.
