Things To Know about Turtle:

• Rescued from Mississippi after being discovered near a wooded area — Turtle arrived at our rescue partner severely emaciated and bearing scars on his back, but as his foster says, there are no scars on his heart
• This boy loves with everything he has — he wants to be with you, near you, touching you, and ideally fully laying on you at all times
• Sweet-natured and gentle, Turtle takes a little time to warm up in new situations but opens up into the most affectionate, people-loving dog once he feels safe
• Enjoys walks and does great on an easy walker harness
• Loves running around the backyard and has found his playful side — he and his foster sister are full-on chasing and wrestling these days
• Still discovering the joy of toys — every day is a new adventure
• Active and playful but equally happy to curl up for a good nap
• Settling well into his crate routine — he will let you know his feelings about bedtime for the first 5-10 minutes, but settles right down, especially when he can see his people are nearby; has never had an accident in his crate
• Housetraining is still a work in progress — Turtle is slowly getting the hang of it and will do best in a home that can keep him on a consistent routine
• Dog friendly — currently living with a foster sister and they are the best of buds
• Still getting his car legs — a little unsure on rides but working on it
• Cat friendly
• Looking for a loving and committed forever home to provide him with the care and love he deserves
