DESCRIPTION

Hi there! My name is Stitch, and if you're looking for a best friend who can keep you laughing, keep you company, and occasionally convince you that belly rubs should be a full-time activity, then I think we should meet. I'm what the humans here call the total package. I love toys, fetch, tug-of-war, zooming around the yard, and pretty much any game that involves having fun. If there's a squeaky toy nearby, there's a very good chance I'll be investigating it. I also enjoy chewing on Kongs and bones, chasing and pouncing on toys, and showing off my impressive ability to entertain myself when needed. After all that excitement, though, I'm more than happy to transform into a cuddle expert. I love being close to my people, whether that's curling up beside you on the couch, leaning against your leg, or volunteering for belly rub duty. My previous family described me as affectionate, friendly, playful, and even a bit of a lap dog. Personally, I think professional snuggler sounds more impressive. Like most young dogs, I still have plenty of enthusiasm for life. Sometimes I get so excited to meet new people that I forget my manners and jump up to say hello. I've lived with children between the ages of 6 and 10 and did well with them, although my excitement can occasionally get the better of me. I didn't get much obedience training in my previous home, so I'm looking for a family who can help me learn the finer points of being a gentleman. The good news is that I'm smart, eager, and very motivated by attention. You may notice that I walk a little differently than some other dogs. I was born with a deformity in my back right leg caused by an angular limb deformity, which affected the way the bones grew as I developed. The veterinary team here consulted with an orthopedic surgeon and determined that I am currently comfortable and doing well without surgery or amputation. Sometimes it may cause me mild discomfort, but honestly, I don't spend much time worrying about it. I have too many important things to do, like chasing toys, making friends, and seeing if you're available for cuddles. My leg is just one small part of my story, not the thing that defines me. As for how I ended up here, I was loved very much by my first family, but they had to move out of state and couldn't take me with them. A family friend welcomed me into their home, but their resident dog thought my puppy energy was a little too much to handle. Through no fault of my own, I found myself at the shelter while everyone worked to find me the forever-home I deserve. What I'm really looking for is a family who will love me, laugh with me, play with me, and continue helping me grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. I promise to bring plenty of affection, entertainment, and companionship in return. If you're searching for a sweet, goofy, loving sidekick with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I think your search may be over. What do you say? Let's start our happily-ever-after together. Love, Stitch Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your puppy’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Heartworm Tested - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $185.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30) All dog adoptions come with free leash and collar.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
