Meet Mateo!
This 14 week old baby Boston terrier is looking for a forever family to help him learn about the world and grow up to be the best boy ever!
Mateo is happy and sweet, not shy at all. He loves toys and playing. He is very food motivated and will do very well in puppy classes!
Mateo loves toys and playing snuggle, his favorite place to sleep is in his foster's arms. He is learning to respect his older foster siblings, but has lots of puppy energy. They are helping him learn his manners - pulling on their ears and tails is rude! He is a smart little boy and is figuring out how to play and cuddle them quickly. He will need a tolerant, but confident older dog in his forever home to keep him on track with his dog social skills.
At only 14 weeks, Mateo is still learning potty training. He currently eats puppy kibble 4 times a day - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a half meal at bedtime. He loves treats too!

During the day Mateo takes naps in his crate, plays with his foster friends, visits his foster grandparents, and loves to run around outside. At night, he sleeps in a puppy carrier next to his foster mom's bed.

Mateo had a traumatic entry to the world and got stuck in the birth canal, resulting in a slightly tilted head. He is able to do everything any other puppy does, and doesn't know that he has a cute little crooked head! This physical difference does not impair him. He had X-rays that were reviewed by a radiology specialist and the tilt is not expected to get worse. It has improved with time and may continue to get less noticeable as he grows.

Mateo is a sweet little baby with a very bright future ahead of him! He would fit well into most families!

Since Mateo is too little to be neutered just yet, he will be adopted with a Neuter Contract that states he must be neutered by 6 months of age. This contract has a refundable $250 deposit that will be returned to his adoptive family when proof of neutering is sent to the rescue.

Mateo is up to date on his core vaccines, microchipped, and has been routinely treated with parasite preventatives.

Mateo is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County, and families interested in adopting him must come to his foster home twice. One time is a meet and greet with all members of the household, resident dogs included. The second trip is to pick him up.
