Meet Gizmo
Gizmo is a 2.5-year-old Border Collie mix weighing about 63 pounds. This handsome boy is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on all his vetting, house trained, crate trained, and knows his basic commands. He's a smart, loyal dog who is looking for a home that can truly meet his needs and help him thrive.
Gizmo is being surrendered through no fault of his own. His owner works long hours, and the lack of companionship and activity has led to anxiety. With love and a heavy heart, they are seeking a better life for him-one where he can enjoy the time, exercise, and connection he deserves.
True to his Border Collie roots, Gizmo is intelligent, sensitive, and deeply devoted to his people. He forms strong bonds and has a natural instinct to watch over those he loves. He responds best to calm reassurance, routine, and positive guidance, and he flourishes when he knows his person is nearby.
Gizmo would do best with an active family that is home more often than not, ideally with a large, secure yard where he can run, play, and burn off both physical and mental energy. He enjoys the company of other dogs after slow introductions and has never been exposed to cats. A large dog at home would be ideal for him to play with. Gizmo has not been around kiddos yet, but his sweet nature and energetic personality seem to be a good fit with older kiddos.
This special boy isn't looking for just any home-he's looking for his person. Someone who understands that working breeds need purpose, companionship, and engagement. In return, Gizmo will give you unwavering loyalty, endless love, and the kind of partnership Border Collies are famous for.
If you're looking for an intelligent, devoted companion and have the time and lifestyle to help him shine, Gizmo may just be your perfect match.
