Border Collie Dogs Available for Adoption in Kansas City, Kansas

Meet BAHAMA MAMA this SATURDAY, MAY 9 from 12-3PM at the NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART DOG & PUPPY ADOPTION EVENT! We’ll be joining other rescue groups for a HUGE adoption event. NFM is located in The Legends at 1601 Village West Pkwy, KCK 66111.

SUNDAY, MAY 10: OPEN 10AM - 3PM, NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED!

BAHAMA MAMA is a pretty girl who's just a sweet as she looks! She came in with her puppies and her sister. Bahama Mama loves people and loves attention. She's gentle and loving and will flip right over for a belly rub. She's also good with other dogs.

Bahama Mama is 1.5 years old and she weighs 52 lbs. Sadly, she tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, she will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!


ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
