Meet Lacey! This resilient sweetheart came to our rescue late last year after being found pregnant at a seasonal hunting lodge. Thanks to an incredible foster family, Lacey was able to leave her foraging days behind and give birth to seven healthy puppies in the safety of a warm home. Now that all of her puppies have been adopted, Lacey is fully vetted, happy, and looking for her own happily ever after. She has so much love to give and is ready to settle down with a family who will cherish her forever. She may have had a rough start to her young life, but her best life is waiting for her....with you!

Border collies and labrador retrievers are generally known to be intelligent, athletic and very loyal. They form incredible bonds with their "people" and are eager to please. They are typically highly trainable and make excellent family companions. As both breeds become bored quickly, they require an owner who will provide both mental and physical exercise on a daily basis. Lacey is no exception to these traits. As her foster family will say - she is eager to please and has been an exceptionally easy dog for them to foster, fitting in well with their other dogs (of varying sizes) as well as their multiple cats. As you can see in her video, Lacey is a loving, soulful girl who strikes the perfect balance - she is playfully fun when it's time to be active, yet incredibly quiet and gentle around the house.
Lacey is a true family dog at heart! She will thrive best in a home where she is included in daily activities and treated as a central, beloved member of the pack.
