Kenny was one of a litter of puppies who found themselves in a shelter far too young. Five puppies got their chance to leave.
Nine are still waiting.
Kenny was one of the lucky ones.
At approximately 10 weeks old, he's learning that life can be pretty wonderful. Soft beds. Toys. Sunshine. Other dogs. Cats. Kind people.
Being separated from his siblings for the first time has been a big adjustment, so he can be a little shy when meeting new people. But every day he gets a little braver.
The tail starts wagging.
The curiosity takes over.
And before long, you'll see the sweet, playful puppy hiding underneath.
Kenny loves other dogs. He loves cats. He loves zooming through the house at full speed and then stretching out in the sunshine like he doesn't have a care in the world.
He sleeps in his dog bed next to his foster's bed, occasionally steals a slipper, and is doing his best to figure out this whole puppy thing.
And yes... those ears are every bit as adorable in person as they look in the photos. We're pretty sure Kenny can hear a treat bag open from three counties away. 😂
