Maybe we could be each other's hero? After all, my name is Hero. I'm a fully vetted, 12-year-old Black Labrador mix gentleman, who has mastered the art of living my best life, and I'm ready to share it with you!

At about 62 lbs., my daily goals are simple: find a comfortable spot, relax, soak up the sights and sounds around me, and occasionally supervise the chaos of life from a safe distance. If you're looking for a companion who believes every problem can be solved with a good nap, I may be your soulmate.

I love lounging in the sun when it's cool, stretching out in the shade when it's warm, and perfecting what I like to call 'Olympic-level napping'. If you have time for some extra love and attention, I'm all in! If you're busy nearby, I'm happy being in your presence, quietly soaking in the moment.

I get along wonderfully with other dogs, and the resident cat barely registers on my radar. In fact, we kind of have an unspoken agreement: "You do your thing, I'll do mine."

My dream home would include a fenced yard with a large shade tree, giving me plenty of options for my favorite activities: sunbathing, shade-bathing, and occasionally dozing off while contemplating life's biggest questions, such as whether dinner will be early today.

When family and friends come to visit, I'm the perfect gentleman. . .calm, friendly, and happy to accept a few pets before returning to my important relaxation duties.

My adoption fee is $75 and includes my neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
