Black Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption in Killingworth, Connecticut

Dash #9 is a 7-year-old black Labrador Retriever weighing approximately 90 lbs who has found himself in rescue through no fault of his own. After spending his entire life in one home, his family made the difficult decision to surrender him due to not having enough time for him. They recognized that Dash deserves a home where he will have more companionship and consistency. As you can imagine, this has been a big adjustment for him. One day he was in the only home he’s ever known, and the next, everything changed. Despite this, Dash has remained the sweet, social, and affectionate boy he has always been. Dash is good with other dogs, does well with children, and is okay with cats. He is friendly and outgoing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He enjoys his toys, loves going for walks, and walks nicely on leash. He is house-trained and has good manners in the home, but he has never been crate trained.

Given his history, Dash would do best in a home where someone is around more often to provide the companionship he has been used to his entire life. He is not a dog that should be left alone for long hours on a daily basis. Dash is a wonderful, deserving boy who is simply looking for stability, understanding, and a family committed to giving him the time and love he deserves for the rest of his life.
