Meet Dee Dee, a loving and friendly female dog who is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs close to 9 lbs.
Dee Dee gets along well with other dogs, having spent time in boarding/daycare and working with a trainer to improve her skills.
She is timid with people at first but does enjoy being pet. You can pick her up and she rides well in a car. She has sat on the passenger seat or on a lap.
You have to go slow with her but she did fine in a home with a 2 yr old and a 10 yr old.
She can go on short walks
The ideal family for Dee Dee will be one that can provide a stable and nurturing environment, offering her the chance to finally relax and know what it means to be a beloved pet.

- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.

About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports.
