Meet Daisy… formerly known as Bacon before we learned her real name. ??

When Daisy first arrived at the shelter, she was absolutely terrified — and honestly, we don’t blame her after everything she’s been through. Thin, scared, and unsure of the world around her, she came in carrying the weight of a hard past. But every single day, this sweet girl shows us a little more of who she truly is.

We’re working on getting some healthy weight back on her (which, thankfully, our staff considers a very important mission because we happen to be professional treat distributors around here). Daisy is discovering that soft beds, full bellies, gentle hands, and love are things she never has to earn.

She’s a shy, timid, and incredibly gentle soul who’s slowly learning that people can be safe. While she met a high-energy puppy at the shelter and did well, a dog with a calm demeanor would be best for her.

Watching her come out of her shell has been something really special, and we know there’s a patient, loving home out there ready to help her continue healing.
