Basset Lovers… This One’s For You
Meet Gus!
6 years old and 100% Basset Hound, this low-rider is looking for a new home where he can get all the love and attention he deserves.
Neutered
Up to date on vaccines
Great with kids
Good with dogs and cats
He LOVES attention, is very food motivated, and will happily hang out wherever his people are. True to his Basset roots, he is definitely a talker… yes, he barks!
He’s not a jumper, but he *is* a bit of a food thief and will bark if other animals go near his food. His armpits can get a little yeasty sometimes, but a little cornstarch keeps things under control.
Life for his current family has gotten extremely busy, and they want him to have the time and attention he deserves.
If you’re looking for a classic, lovable Basset personality to add to your home, he might be your guy.
If you’re interested in giving Gus the loving home he deserves, please submit an application through our website.

ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
