Meet Powder! A joyful, social pup who proves being deaf doesn't slow him down one bit.
Powder was surrendered to a shelter in Tennessee alongside his brother, where they waited weeks for help before PAWS stepped in. Now in his New England foster home, Powder is thriving and showing everyone what a fun, loving puppy he is.
This high-energy boy:
* Loves meeting new people everywhere he goes
* Is obsessed with his morning walks
* Loves playing with other dogs
* Enjoys toys (even squeaky ones he can't hear!)
* Sleeps perfectly in his crate at night
Powder is already learning hand signals and knows signs for sit, stay, crate, stop/no, and directional pointing. He's incredibly smart and eager to engage with his people.
Like many young puppies, Powder can get jumpy, mouthy, and extra playful when excited, so he would do best with dog-savvy children over the age of 7.
Powder's ideal home will have:
* A friendly resident dog
* A fenced yard
* Patient adopters committed to continued positive reinforcement training
Powder experiences the world a little differently, but his ability to love, connect, and bring joy is just as big as any other dog's.
