Dixie is a 7-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd (26 lbs) who is brilliant, observant, and full of personality . She's not just smart—she's trained smart, a true trick-dog who thrives when her mind is engaged.

Training & Skills

Dixie knows a wide range of commands (voice + hand signals) and loves to show them off! From sit, down, and recall to fun tricks like spin, roll over, dance , and even jumping up to balance in your arms —she's impressive and eager to work.

Favorites

Frisbee is her absolute favorite —it's the best way to keep her happy and fulfilled! She's also very food motivated (loves veggies like green beans, celery, sweet potato ) and enjoys baby talk and interactive attention.

Personality

Dixie is like a highly intelligent little person in a dog's body. She learns routines fast, anticipates your next move, and stays very aware of everything around her . She bonds deeply with her people and shows affection in her own sweet, quirky ways—like wiggling with a toy or backing into you for closeness .

Home Style

Good to Know

Dixie can be vocal and reactive at first with visitors (especially men), but settles quickly with a little time . She may ignore recall when overstimulated, so patience and management are key. She's also known to chase things outside and sneak into trash if given the chance .

She does well crated when you're away and is used to having her people around most of the time .
